Students are busy during the weekday, and so are you. But, if you can spare a weeknight or two or a few hours on a weekend, tutoring is an excellent business to have and it pays good money. With too many overworked teachers and the heightened competition to get into a “good college” you will be in demand. Start a website, and you may have a small business on your hands to help you save money.

You will be amazed at what goes on behind the closed doors of your next door neighbor. Oh, they may look neat and tidy, but behind the stucco facade and the manicured lawn lies the chaos of stuffed closets, overflowing drawers and a family just holding onto the reigns of life with their fingernails.
Enter beautiful you. “Professional organizing” is a rising business opportunity, especially in affluent communities where even the dog has a schedule. To break into the business and save money doing this job, offer to shadow a professional organizer as an assistant. This can be a very lucrative business or side job to help you save money.
Professional Blogger
These days, everyone has a blog, and if they’re a small business it’s mandatory. But if you have a talent for the written word and are good at posting other types of media like video and photos, you could save money and build your professional career doing this job. To break in, have a track record. If you don’t have one, make one with your own blog. In order to make immediate money, its best to hire yourself out to other businesses.
Blogging for yourself
You can blog about your hobby, your passion, whatever you want. You can make money through affiliated marketing, creating exclusive content for subscribers, even selling your “brand” of what your blog’s about through t-shirts and bumper stickers. The money might not be there at first, but if you keep at it, you will be able to save money doing this.
Teaching
There are all types of schools and colleges out there who could use a teacher or an adjunct professor or two to help out every now and then. The best way to go about getting a job is calling up and asking. These kinds of jobs usually aren’t posted outside the school, as they usually go to grad students attending the school or the high school football coach. Be sure to have the right credentials, the kind of money you make is usually based on your experience and the school’s reputation.
